Pioneer

Swami Mukundananda is a Pioneer in the true sense as he formulated the unique system of Yog known as “Jagadguru Kripaluji Yog”.  This is a revolutionary system of Yog that incorporates both – material and spiritual knowledge – for the physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual heath of mankind.

Swami Mukundananda was first introduced to yogasans and Hatha Yog meditational techniques in childhood, and continued its practice while growing up. As he transitioned to Bhakti Yog, he changed his meditational techniques, but continued with his daily practice of yogasans. With direct instructions from his spiritual master, Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj, Swamiji began to teach a holistic system of Yog, to correct the anomaly in the Western world, where Yoga was being taught as a mere physical science. Swamiji has studied the techniques used in many reputed Yoga Universities all over India. He then incorporated the best practices of Hatha Yog, and amalgamated it with Bhakti Yog, to formulate the system of “Jagadguru Kripaluji Yog.”

The techniques of Jagadguru Kripaluji Yog are not new; as they have been practiced by “true Yogis” in India for eons.  They are described in the Vedas, and are taught in varying degrees around the world.  Nonetheless, in their practice of Yoga, the mind is invariably ignored.  The most shocking revelation is that most Yoga therapists and practitioners instruct and perform Yoga only as a form of physical exercise.  They rarely pay heed to the mind-dimension and soul-dimension. Whatever benefit is obtained while improving the health, is only transient, due to negligence of the mind factor.  The maladies of the mind, such as greed, envy, anger, and illusion, can only be cured through remembrance of the Supreme God.  The Shreemad Bhagavatam states:

Etavan Yog AdhisthoMachhisyeihSanakadibhih

SarvatoMaanAkrisyaMyayadhwaweishyateYathah

(Shreemad Bhagavatam 11.13.14)

“True Yog means removing the mind from all objects of material attachment, and fixing it completely on the Supreme.”

While most of the Yoga institutes of the world, stop at the level of the physical Asans, and the management of the mind is ignored.  In contrast, JKYog offers rock solid techniques of Yog that enable us to relish both the Bliss of Divinity and sound material health with ease and simplicity.
