जब रावण ने हनुमान जी की पूँछ में लगवाई आग और लंका हो गई राख | रामायण 34/38

Hanumanji reached Lanka and while searching for Mother Sita, he came across Vibheeshan - Ravan’s younger brother. Vibheeshan gave him the whereabouts of Mother Sita.
Hanumanji proceeded to Ashok Vatika, where Sitaji was residing. He was faced with a dilemma - about how to convince Mother Sita of his identity as a messenger of Lord Ram.
Now, Hanumanji sat on the tree under which Mother Sita was sitting and started chanting the glories of Lord Ram. Hearing them, she asked the person reciting them to appear before her. Hanumanji showed her the ring of Lord Ram as proof of his identity. He reassured Mother Sita that Lord Ram would soon come to get her.
After that, he started ransacking Ashok Vatika, sending an alarm to the guards of Lanka. Hanumanji was caught and then taken to the court of Ravan. The guards were ordered by Ravan to set Hanumanji’s tail on fire. To get back at Ravan, Hanumanji ended up burning the entire golden city of Lanka with his tail.
Watch this astonishing story in the words of Swami Mukundananda, about how Hanumanji thoughtfully convinced Mother Sita that he was the messenger of Lord Ram, and how he burnt Lanka.
