कैसे पड़ा रामायण का नाम श्रीरामचरितमानस? | रामायण 1/38
21 Min•Ramayan
Ramcharitmanas is an epic saga on the leelas of Shree Ram, written by Goswami Tulsidas. Ramayan is not a katha or story or a dialogue that comes to an end, it is the words of God, that is the sole reason why listening to it is so endearing even after 9k years.
Listen to a beautiful narration of Ram Katha Amrit by Swami Mukundananda. Ramayan is like a kalp vriksh (wishful tree in heaven). Swamiji illustrates that Ramayan has seven khand or parts divided on the basis of different leelas of Shree Ram. As the roots of the Kalp vriksh is firmly rooted in the ground similarly Ramayan katha has deep roots in the ‘Balkand’ and it is the longest of all other kand. Next is the ‘Ayodhya kand’ which is like the trunk of the kalp vriksh and its branches are ‘Aranya kand’, its leaves are ‘kishkindha kand’, the flower of this kalp vriksh is ‘Sunder kand’ and ‘Lanka Kand’ is like the fruit of the ‘kalp viksh’. ‘Uttar kand’ is like the ras of the fruit. Let us devour in the ras of ramayan in Swamiji’s devotional voice.
