The greatest pilgrimage isn’t outward, but inward, where we discover the mind, intellect, ego, and soul.

The Supreme Lord Shree Krishna is the Father, Mother, Friend, Master, and Beloved of our soul. Attachment to Him elevates the consciousness and illumines the intellect.

On the spiritual journey, we must train our intellect to see ourselves as the divine soul seated within the body.

Through meditation, we can go within our mind and intellect, and work upon them. Thereby, it is a great tool for gaining control over our emotions. One of meditation’s greatest advantages is its ability to steady the mind and develop the power of focus.

When God bestows grace, He will empower our material senses, mind, and intellect with divine energy. Equipped with His power, we will see Him, know Him, and love Him.

When we make our intellect the basis of our knowledge, like the frog in the well, we get restricted to our limited intellectual experience.

To rein in the mind, the intellect must exercise its ability for discernment. In the Bhagavad Gita, this is called Buddhi Yog. Discernment requires empowering the intellect with divine knowledge.

Faith in the Guru’s divinity is necessary for surrendering the intellect and accepting His divine teachings.
