राम की योगमाया - शूर्पणखा और खर-दूषण प्रसंग | रामायण 28/38
16 Min•Ramayan
After residing in Chitrakoot , Ram, Sita, and Lakshman go towards south to Atri Anusuya ashram. There Ram preached to Anusuya, which is known as Anusuya Gita.
Indra's son Jayant fails to recognize Ram as the Supreme Lord and in his arrogance takes a form of a crow and transgresses by biting Sita on her feet. Ram in anger aimed the arrow toward Jayant. Taking pity on jayant Narad Muni recommended that he seek forgiveness from Ram. Since no worldly being is free of vices mother Sita requests Ram to forgive Jayant. This narrative shows that ansaints heart melts upon seeing the suffering of others.
संत हृदय नवनीत समाना। कहा कबिन्ह परि कहै न जाना॥
निज परिताप द्रवइ नवनीता। पर दु;ख द्रवहिं संत सुपुनीता॥4॥
Sant hridaya navaneet samana, kaha kavin par kahi na jana,
Nij paritap dravayi navaneeta, pardukh dravai sant supuneeta.
Ram, Sita, and Lakshman moved to Panchavati. Here Ram preached to Lakshman which is also known as Lakshman Gita. He says "I can be attained only through Bhakti. Have all the relational sentiments towards me."
Surpanakha gets attracted towards Ram and ultimately gets her nose and ears chopped off. As a result of Ram's Yogmaya energy Khar and Dushan and their army started to see Ram and Lakshman in each other. So they started fighting internally and the whole army was destroyed.
